Cohen and the Sooners welcomed freshmen Emma Ghirardato, Cara Mester, Gloriana Nahum and Salakthip Ounmuang to the squad for the 2024 fall season.
In the fall, Garcia Ruiz advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Individual Championships for the first time in her career after picking up four straight-set victories. The Morelia, Mexico native became the Sooners' first individual semifinalist since Layne Sleeth in 2023.
Head coach Audra Cohen enters her ninth season, holding a 142-59 record. Cohen is joined by associate head coach Mariana Cobra and assistant coach Edson Ortiz.
After coming off a 2024 season that saw them earn their 15th NCAA tournament appearance and fifth under Cohen, the Sooners will hit the court boasting its third consecutive top-20 ITA preseason ranking.
Following the Miami Spring Invite, OU returns home for back-to-back home matches against Wichita State and Wyoming at the Headington Family Tennis Center (Jan. 17).
