The Sooners concluded the regular season as SEC Co-Champions, posting a 23-5 overall record and a 13-2 mark in conference play. Oklahoma secured a No. 1 seed in the SEC Championship for just the second time in program history and enters the NCAA Championship ranked No. 6 in the ITA team poll.
OU closed the regular season on an NCAA-best 13-match winning streak, going undefeated in March and unbeaten through the first half of April. The stretch included three signature victories: a 4-1 win over No. 1 Georgia (March 29), a 4-1 victory over No. 2 Texas A&M (April 9) and a 4-2 Senior Day win over No. 6 Texas (April 11).
The Sooners recorded nine wins over top-25 opponents this season, including six against top-10 teams, solidifying one of the nation's strongest résumés.
In doubles, Oklahoma has been dominant throughout the spring, highlighted by the No. 3 pair of Julia Garcia Ruiz and Salakthip Ounmuang, who hold a 20-2 record and have won 12 straight completed matches.
Freshman leadership has been a key storyline for OU, with Evialina Laskevich and Edda Mamedova holding down the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots, respectively. The duo has also combined for a 13-4 doubles record this spring.
Oklahoma is making its 17th NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh under head coach Audra Cohen. The Sooners have advanced to at least the second round in each of the past four seasons.
OU's deepest NCAA run came in 2022, when the Sooners finished as national runners-up. That season also saw Oklahoma reach a program-best No. 2 ranking in the ITA poll.
This year's No. 6 seed marks the second-highest in program history and the sixth time Oklahoma has hosted first and second round matches.
Oklahoma enters the NCAA Championship ranked No. 6 in the ITA team poll and reached as high as No. 4 this season, its best mark since the program's No. 2 ranking in 2022.
Individually, the Sooners have three players ranked in the ITA singles poll, led by No. 10 Evialina Laskevich. She is joined by No. 37 Edda Mamedova and No. 60 Julia Garcia Ruiz.
In doubles, OU features the nation's top-ranked pair in Roisin Gilheany and Gloriana Nahum, who have held the No. 1 spot since Nov. 25. The Sooners also boast the No. 20 tandem of Mamedova and Laskevich.
Gilheany and Nahum are just the second doubles team in program history to reach No. 1, joining Ivana and Carmen Corley (2021-22).
