BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field team wrapped up a successful weekend at the SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday night at the R.A. 'Murray' Fasken Indoor Track, earning the program's best combined finish at a conference meet in over 15 years. The women's team took second place against eight top-25 teams and the men finished third versus seven ranked squads.
The final day of the conference meet was highlighted by a fourth league title from
Olivia Lueking in the pole vault. The women collected 29 more points from
Agur Dwol,
Jasmine Akins,
Tessani Foster and
Paige Low for a total of 62 on the weekend. The men grabbed scores from
BJ Green (6),
Ralford Mullings (6),
Tucker Smith (4),
Floyd Whitaker (2) and
Shadrack Kiptoo (1) for 56.5 altogether.
Olivia Lueking and Tennessee's Sarah Schmitt faced off at 4.51m (14'9.50") in the final progression of the pole vault. The Sooner eased over the bar on her first attempt and Schmitt was unable to counter Lueking's clearance, solidifying first place for the senior. Also competing in the event,
Tessani Foster advanced over 4.26m (13'11.75") for fifth place and 4 points. A career best for Foster, she rises to No. 3 in OU's all-time history books.
Ralford Mullings opened Saturday afternoon with third place in the men's shot put, tossing to 19.71m (64'8.00"). Teammate
Tucker Smith followed in fifth, registering 19.08m (62'7.25") to add to the Sooners score.
Will Dibo advanced to the SP final but narrowly missed scoring with ninth place and an 18.36m (60'3.00") throw.
A pair of men's triple jumpers improved the Sooners' score by eight points.
BJ Green, the reigning indoor and outdoor Big 12 champion, leaped a massive personal-best 16.85m (55'3.50") to break the school record and earn third place in the event.
Floyd Whitaker followed up with a 15.72m (51'6.50") jump for seventh place and two points.
Agur Dwol and
Jasmine Akins helped the Oklahoma women by a large margin in the triple jump. Dwol took a silver medal with a 13.58m (44'6.75") leap and
Jasmine Akins crushed her personal best with a 13.47m (44'2.50") mark for fourth. With this jump, Akins improved to No. 4 in Oklahoma history and positions herself at No. 12 in the NCAA in 2025.
To cap the field events for the Sooners,
Paige Low tossed to 16.61m (54'6.00") for eighth place and one point in the women's shot put. On the track,
Shadrack Kiptoo raced to eight place in the men's 3,000-meter run (7:58.94) for another point.

Oklahoma track and field athletes that posted top-16 marks in the NCAA during the 2025 indoor season will compete at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Va., from March 13-15.
