No. 4/12 Sooners Deliver Historic Marks at Texas Relays

March 29, 2025 | Track and Field

AUSTIN, Texas – The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field team delivered a dominant performance on the final day of Texas Relays held at Mike A. Myers stadium Saturday. Olivia Lueking shattered her own school record, climbing to No. 17 in NCAA history, while Ralford Mullings posted a world-leading discus throw to claim the No. 2 spot in NCAA history.

Lueking started the eventful day with a third-attempt clearance of 4.57m (15'0.00") to break the record she previously set her sophomore season. With this mark, Lueking is the No. 17-ranked pole vaulter in NCAA Division I history and for the 2025 outdoor season, she sits first in the nation and first in the Southeastern Conference.

Mullings followed suit with another career best in the discus throw for first place. On his final attempt, the Kingston, Jamaica, native tossed 69.13m (226'9.00"), becoming one of only two men in NCAA collegiate history to surpass 69 meters. He secured the Oklahoma program record, Texas Relays record and Mike A. Myers stadium record. Mullings' mark ranks No. 1 in the world, NCAA and SEC so far in 2025.

With momentum building, NCAA indoor champion Agur Dwol highlighted her outdoor debut with a win in the triple jump. She registered an all-conditions PR of 14.01m (45'1.75") (+2.8), becoming the first woman in Oklahoma history to eclipse the 14 meter mark. In all-conditions ranks, Dwol sits No. 28 all-time in NCAA history. With this jump, she claims the No. 1 spot in the nation and the SEC so far this outdoor season.

On the men's side, BJ Green grabbed an NCAA and SEC-leading mark of his own in the triple jump to win the event, registering an all-conditions PB of 16.92m (55'6.25") (+2.3) on his second attempt.

In addition to Dwol, Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi posted a top mark in the triple jump. She leaped a wind-legal 13.44m (44'1.25") for third place and the No. 4 position on OU's all-time performance list. Mbuyi now ranks No. 2 in the SEC and No. 3 in the NCAA so far this outdoor season.

Two more Sooners on the men's side collected top marks in the nation to round out the day. Kyren Washington opened his outdoor season in the high jump with a 2.16m (7'1.00") clearance to tie for the No. 2 spot in the NCAA and first in the SEC. Tucker Smith tossed a season-best 19.12m (62'8.75") in the men's shot put for third in the nation and second in the conference.
