FORT WORTH, Texas – The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field team capped the 2025 outdoor season Saturday evening at TCU's Horned Frog Invitational held at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex. The Sooners collected 14 event titles and nine performances on OU's all-time performance list.
OU swept the women's and men's 5,000-meter races to kick off the meet, earning two first-place finishes from
Peyton McQuillan (17:22.89) and
Evans Biwott (13:49.87). Biwott's PR moved him up to No. 6 all-time in OU's history books.
Kassidy Gallagher claimed the next win for the Sooners, toss 61.02m (200'2.00") for first place in the hammer throw field.
Distance pair of
Lily Baker and
Nicholas Young grabbed both men's and women's 1,500-meter run titles. Baker registered a career-best 4:22.17, eighth in OU history, and Young clocked 3:49.01.
Paige Low earned a personal best in the women's shot put to win the event. She recorded 17.17m (56'4.00"), climbing to No. 6 all-time in OU history and No. 8 in the SEC this outdoor season. Tuane Silver followed up in second with a season-best toss of 16.73m (54'10.75").
On the men's side,
Ralford Mullings finished second overall and first by a collegian in the shot put, tossing 19.13m (62'9.50").
Drew Heinig posted a career-high 18.30m (60'0.50") mark for fourth place, claiming his spot at No. 9 all-time on OU's performance list.
In the women's long jump,
Morgan Little posted a breakthrough result. She leaped a career-best 6.28m (20'7.25") for second overall and first by a collegian.
Agur Dwol followed in third with an all-conditions PR of 6.26m (20'6.00") (+2.9).
At the halfway mark,
Anthony Riley grabbed Oklahoma's seventh event title of the day in the men's long jump, measuring in at 7.56m (24'9.75").
Khyland Wallace claimed runner-up with an all-conditions PR of 7.53m (24'8.50") (+2.4).
On the track,
Samuel Toili raced to first in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 45.86, locking in his spot at No. 10 all-time in OU history.
Paige Low added a second win on her day with first place in the discus throw. She registered a season-high 55.70m (182'9.00") toss to improve to No. 17 in the NCAA West Region.
Continuing on her excellent outdoor season,
Jenna James shaved 0.45 seconds off her PB for 57.60 to win the women's 400-meter hurdles. She recorded the fourth-best time by an OU sprinter in program history.
The men's and women's triple jump group found success Saturday evening.
Agur Dwol secured first place with a wind-legal PR of 13.87m (45'6.00"). With this mark, she climbs to No. 2 all-time on OU's all-time performance list.
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi also finished on the podium in second with a 13.24m (43'5.25") mark. On the men's side,
BJ Green recorded a 16.68m (54'8.75") leap for second place and first by a collegian.
Floyd Whitaker finished in third with an outdoor career-best 15.70m (51'6.00"), which ranks No. 4 in the SEC this outdoor season.
Freshman
Julian McCullough put up a big performance in the men's high jump. He cleared a collegiate outdoor personal-best of 2.18m (7'1.75") to win the event. His mark ranks No. 6 in OU history, No. 4 in the SEC and No. 15 in the NCAA so far this outdoor season.
In her first collegiate 800-meter race,
Leah Jeruto recorded 2:08.53 for second place.
The Sooners' 14th and final win of the day was earned by
Kassidy Sani in the women's javelin. The senior secured a personal best throw of 49.58m (162'8.00") to improve her position at No. 7 all-time in OU history.
