March 12, 2026 | Track and Field

NORMAN — Eight Oklahoma track and field athletes are set to compete on the national stage at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Tyson Indoor Track & Field Center in Fayetteville, Ark.

Live results for the NCAA Indoor Championships will be available via Flash Results, while a broadcast of the championships will air on ESPN+.

The two-day meet begins Friday at 11 a.m. CT with the combined events. Saturday's session will also start at 1 p.m. CT with field events.

The Sooners enter the national meet after posting top-15 team finishes on both the men's and women's sides at last year's NCAA Indoor Championships.

To qualify for the championships, athletes must rank among the top 16 performers in NCAA Division I during the indoor regular season.

Oklahoma sends four men to Fayetteville, highlighted by BJ Green in the triple jump. Green, whose qualifying mark of 16.81m (55'2.00") ranks No. 2 in the NCAA, placed third at last year's NCAA Indoor Championships and most recently claimed silver at the SEC Indoor Championships.

Fellow triple jumper Floyd Whitaker will make his second consecutive appearance at the national meet after finishing ninth a season ago. Whitaker enters the championships ranked No. 8 nationally following his personal-best leap of 16.44m (53'11.25") at the SEC Indoor Championships.

Junior Kyren Washington returns to the national stage looking to secure his second consecutive First-Team All-America honor after finishing fourth in the high jump last year. Washington's clearance of 2.25m (7'4.50") is tied with teammate Tyson Ritz for the No. 2 mark in the nation. Trey Bartholomew also qualified in the high jump, entering the meet with a season-best clearance of 2.21m (7'3"), which ranks No. 12 nationally.

Mississippi State transfer Kennedy Stringfellow leads the country in the men's long jump with a mark of 8.29m (27'2.50").

On the women's side, newcomer Hannah Pfiffner enters the meet ranked No. 8 nationally in the high jump after clearing 1.87m (6'1.50") at the SEC Indoor Championships, a mark that tied a 41-year-old Oklahoma school record.

Kennedy Clarke qualified for the women's weight throw after setting the OU school record with a toss of 21.70m (71'2.50") at the Oklahoma Classic in Norman on Feb. 6.

Oklahoma enters the NCAA Championships ranked No. 7 in the USTFCCCA TFRI national rankings on the men's side. The Sooners also hold the No. 1 national mark in the men's high jump.
