Green, Mullings Capture SEC Outdoor Titles on Final Day in Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. — Two Sooners captured individual conference titles Saturday as the Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition at the SEC Outdoor Championships at Hutsell-Rosen Track.

The Oklahoma women finished 11th in the team standings with 32 points, while the men placed 13th with 33.5 points.

BJ Green highlighted the day by defending his SEC Outdoor title in the men's triple jump, recording a personal-best 16.96m (55'7.75") to take over the NCAA lead and improve his own No. 2 mark in OU history. The senior's decorated conference career now includes two SEC outdoor titles and two Big 12 championships in the event.

Ralford Mullings added another conference crown in the men's discus, breaking the Auburn facility record with a throw of 65.10m (213'7.00") to secure his second consecutive SEC outdoor title in the event.

Riley Ammenhauser delivered one of Oklahoma's top performances on the women's side, earning silver in the triple jump with a personal-best 13.35m (43'9.75") (+2.6). Jacelyn Neighbors also reached the podium, clearing a personal-best 4.36m (14'3.50") to place third in the women's pole vault and move to No. 3 in OU history.

In the men's high jump, Trey Bartholomew cleared an outdoor personal-best 2.20m (7'2.50") to place fourth and tie for No. 4 in program history. Julian McCullough followed with a clearance of 2.17m (7'1.50") to tie for fifth.

The men's triple jump group added valuable points behind Green, as Floyd Whitaker recorded a season-best 16.01m (52'6.50") to place sixth and Awakhiwe Ndlovu added a point with an eighth-place finish at 15.60m (51'2.25").

On the track, the women's 4x400-meter relay team of Nia Parks, Jada Atkinson, Chloe Rodriguez and Gladys David Mumbe clocked 3:34.00 to move to No. 6 in OU history. Jack Vincent also recorded a personal-best in the men's 5,000 meters, finishing in 13:59.33.

Elsewhere in the field events, Chesni Scott placed ninth in the women's discus with a throw of 54.58m (179'1.00"), while Taylor Fingers also finished ninth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.92m (42'4.75").

Sooners who qualify will travel to the NCAA West Regional, hosted by Arkansas May 27-30 at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, for a chance to advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., set for June 10-13.
