STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma saw its seven-dual winning streak come to an end Sunday evening, falling 37-0 to Oklahoma State at Gallagher-Iba Arena in the 190th edition of Bedlam wrestling.

The 15th-ranked Sooners (7-2, 0-1 Big 12) had four bouts decided by three points or fewer but were ultimately shut out by the No. 5 Cowboys (9-1, 4-0 Big 12).

Despite the final score, Oklahoma showed toughness in several upperweight matchups in front of a sold-out crowd of 12,549.

At 197 pounds, No. 9 DJ Parker dropped a tightly contested top-10 matchup, as No. 8 Coby Merrill earned a 1-0 decision on a second-period escape. At heavyweight, No. 23 Juan Mora carried a 1-0 lead into the third period against No. 7 Konner Doucet, but riding time proved to be the deciding factor in a narrow loss.

Oklahoma State recorded four bonus-point victories on the night, including two major decisions, one fall and one technical fall.

UP NEXT

The Sooners return home for the front end of a split dual weekend, hosting Air Force on Friday, Jan. 16, before traveling east to face No. 21 West Virginia in Morgantown on Sunday, Jan. 18. First bout from McCasland Field House on Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and will stream on ESPN+.
