Sooners Open Regular Season August 12
NORMAN — Oklahoma Soccer announces its 2026 schedule, featuring 18 matches and nine at John Crain Field. The Sooners will play eight non-conference games and 10 Southeastern Conference (SEC) competitions.
OU will play seven matches against teams in the 2025 NCAA Tournament field, not including an exhibition match against 2025 College Cup participant TCU at home August 5.
The Sooners complete their exhibition slate against Seminole State College August 8 at John Crain Field.
Non-Conference
The regular season kicks off Wednesday August at home when the Sooners host Northwestern State at 7 p.m. in the first-ever game between the two teams. All told, Oklahoma plays eight non-conference contests in 2026, with five coming on the road.
The Sooners go to East Texas A&M August 16 followed by a trip to Oklahoma State August 20 in a pair of 7 p.m. kicks. Oklahoma's first afternoon contest comes August 23 at home against Colorado College followed by another in-state meeting against Tulsa at John Crain Thursday, August 27.
The longest road stint away from John Crain Field is a three-game road swing at Oral Roberts (August 30), North Texas (September 3) and BYU (September 5).
SEC Play
Year three in the Southeastern Conference begins Friday, September 11 against Missouri at John Crain Field. OU's home schedule in league play also features LSU (September 24), Alabama (September 27), Auburn (October 9) and Arkansas (October 23). Four of those five games are 7 p.m. starts, while the fixture with Alabama gets going at 2 p.m.
OU's first road match in SEC play comes at Georgia September 18. The Sooners return to Texas for their second-ever SEC game in Austin October 2, kicking off the month.
Oklahoma will play back-to-back games in the state of Mississippi October 15 and 18 at Mississippi State and Ole Miss respectively. The Sooners play their first regular season game in the month of November on the first of the month at Tennessee.
The 2026 SEC Soccer Tournament starts Sunday, November 8 and runs through Sunday, November 15 in Pensacola, Fla. The top ten teams in the SEC will make the trip to Pensacola.
