McCallister Named SEC Freshman of the Week

Scored Game-Tying Goal in 3-1 Win at Georgia
NORMAN — Freshman midfielder Kate McCallister was named SEC Freshman of the Week as announced by the league Monday, September 21.
McCallister scored the game-tying goal with a header in the 57th minute to get the Sooners even, 1-1, with Georgia. Oklahoma would go on to win that match, 3-1, in Athens, sending the Sooners to 8-0-2 and 2-0-0 in the SEC.
Two of McCallister's three goals this season have been either the game-tying or game-winning goal on the road, as the midfielder also headed one in at Oklahoma State August 20.
The freshman has started all nine matches in which she has played, logging 601 minutes, three goals and one assist.
OU starts a two-match stint at home this week against LSU Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.
