Lexington, Ky. —  The No. 1 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team begins NCAA postseason competition this weekend, April 3-5, at the Lexington Regional, held at the University of Kentucky's Historic Memorial Coliseum. OU will compete in the second session of the second round against No. 16 Kentucky, Ohio State and the winner of the Central Michigan/Rutgers at 6 p.m. CT on April 3.

The afternoon session on Friday features No. 8 Missouri, No. 9 Arkansas, NC State and Maryland. The top two teams from each session on Friday will advance to Sunday's regional final at 4 p.m. CT.

The Sooners look to continue their NCAA regional success under 20th-year head coach K.J. Kindler. The Sooners have won 15 consecutive regional championships and 61 individual regional championship titles, dating back to 2010.

As the No. 1 overall seed at the Lexington Regional, OU was able to select its rotation order for the postseason. The Sooners elected to begin on vault and follow true Olympic order, ending on floor.

- The Sooners have hit 308 of 312 routines this season for a hit percentage of .987. Eight athletes are perfect on the season and of those, two have competed in every meet in 2026. See more information on page 3.

- Senior Faith Torrez holds a 97% hit rate (59 of 61). Half (31 of 61) of her routines have resulted in a 9.95-plus score, including two perfect 10.0s in her career and one this season (SEC Championships).

SEC SNAPBACK
At the 2026 SEC Championships, three Sooners earned individual event titles as the team notched a 198.150 to place second. Faith Torrez went back-to-back as the SEC beam champion, earning a perfect 10.0 to secure the title outright. Mackenzie Estep became the first OU freshman to earn an SEC individual event title, scoring a career-high 9.95 to share the podium with teammate Keira Wells.

Estep earned SEC Co-Freshman of the Year, along with being one of eight Sooners to be named to the All-SEC Teams, securing nods on vault and floor and recognized on the All-Freshman team on bars and floor.

In the last decade, the Sooners have shown they are a force to be reckoned with away from the friendly confines of Lloyd Noble Center. Since 2015, the Sooners boast a 251-15-1 record on the road, a 94% win rate. This includes a 67-6 record at true away competiton sites and a 197-10-1 mark at neutral sites. In 2026, the Sooners are 18-1-1 in road meets.

Of those eight, Mueller and Murphy have competed in every meet this season.

ALL AMERICAN SOONERS
Six members of the No. 1 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team combined to secure eight regular season All-America honors from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).

Torrez received recognition on beam, where she finished No. 3 in the country on the event. This is her third year earning honors on beam. Murphy picked up her first regular-season honor with a first team recognition on beam, where she finished No. 8 in the country.

CLOUD 9.9
Through 11 weeks of competition, 55% of the Sooners' routines have gone 9.90 or higher (172 of 312). With just 19 through the first two meets, OU doubled its output with 18 against Georgia on Jan. 23. The Sooners have notched double-digit scores of 9.90 or better in 11 of 13 meets and over 15 such scores in four meets (Georgia, Alabama, TWU, SEC Championships).

LOOKING AHEAD
The top two placing teams from each regional final will advance to the 2026 NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 16 and 18. Should the Sooners advance, they will compete in a semifinal against the winners of the Corvallis Regional.
