Stassi Punches Ticket to Xfinity U.S. Championship

HARTFORD - Incoming Oklahoma gymnastics freshman Izzy Stassi secured a spot at the 2026 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships after posting a 52.550 in the senior all-around at the U.S. Classic in Hartford, Conn., on Saturday.

Making her elite gymnastics debut for Oklahoma women's gymnastics, Stassi recorded scores of 13.700 on vault, 13.650 on bars, 11.900 on beam and 13.300 on floor to earn qualification to U.S. Championships, set for Aug. 6-9 in Phoenix, Ariz. She placed second on vault and bars while tying for second on floor. OU women's gymnastics head coach K.J. Kindler and associate head coach Lou Ball made their elite coaching debuts.

A member of Oklahoma's No. 1-ranked signing class, Stassi qualified alongside Reese Esponda (54.900), Jade Carey (54.050), Zoey Molomo (53.900), and Isabella Anzola (53.100) in the all-around.

Stassi is a two-time national team member who helped Team USA earn a silver medal at the 2023 Junior World Championships in Antalya, Turkey. She returns to the U.S. Championships for the fifth time in her career after winning the vault title and placing third in the all-around in 2023, finishing third on vault in 2025, and earning a runner-up finish on floor in 2022.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Stassi will begin her collegiate career with the Sooners during the 2027 season.
