NORMAN — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams head to College Station, Texas, for the 2026 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships, set for Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 26-28, at R.A. "Murray" Fasken '38 Indoor Track & Field.

The three-day meet will open Thursday at 11:30 a.m. CT with the combined events. Friday's action begins at 11:30 a.m. CT with the women's weight throw, while running events are scheduled to start at 4 p.m. CT with the women's mile prelims. On Saturday, field events begin at 2 p.m. CT with the men's high jump, and running finals are set to start at 4:05 p.m. CT with the women's mile final.
Oklahoma will look to build on last year's indoor conference performance, where the Sooner women placed second and the men finished third in the program's inaugural SEC Indoor Championships appearance.
The Sooners are coming off a strong showing at the Crimson and Cream Qualifier to close the regular season. Oklahoma captured 13 event titles and added a school record performance at the Arkansas Qualifier.
Domtilla Cheruto, Leah Jeruto, Jada Atkinson and Abby Jepchirchir set a new indoor school record in the women's distance medley relay, clocking 11:11.02 in Fayetteville, Ark. In Norman, junior Jacelyn Neighbors led the field events with a winning clearance of 4.27m (14'0.00") in the women's pole vault, improving to No. 3 in OU history.
Oklahoma enters the conference championship meet ranked No. 7 in the USTFCCCA TFRI national rankings on the men's side. The Sooners hold the No. 1 national mark in the men's high jump and rank No. 5 nationally in the women's triple jump. Kennedy Stringfellow leads the nation in the long jump (8.29m (27' 2.50")) and BJ Green sits No. 1 in the triple jump (16.81m (55' 2.00")), while Tyson Ritz and Kyren Washington are tied for No. 3 nationally in the high jump (2.22m (7' 3.25")).
