Sooners Add Johan Rodriguez and Alan Magadan for the 2025-26 Season

NORMAN – Oklahoma men's tennis head coach Nick Crowell announced the addition of Johan Rodriguez and Alan Magadan to the Sooner squad ahead of the fall season.

Magadan, a fifth-year senior from McAllen, Texas, transferred to Oklahoma after spending the 2024-25 season at Texas A&M. Prior to his time as an Aggie, Magadan spent two seasons at UTSA after starting his college career at Tyler Junior College.

In college play, Magadan has achieved a career-high ITA doubles ranking of No. 6 and completed the 2024-25 season inside the top-100 in the ITA singles rankings. The fifth-year senior holds a career-high ATP singles rank of 884.

In his senior season at Texas A&M, Magadan claimed nine singles wins and four doubles wins on the season and helped propel the Aggies to the NCAA Sweet 16.

Rodriguez, an incoming freshman from Colombia, has achieved a career-high ATP rank of 645 and a career-high ITF junior rank of 45. Rodriguez has claimed three ITF futures titles and 10 ITF junior titles.

The two additions join returners Oscar Lacides, Orel Kimhi, Alejandro Melero, Asahi Harazaki, Hank Trondson, Luis Alvarez and Bruno Nhavene for the 2025-26 season.
