SARASOTA, Fla. – Oklahoma rowing secured seven top-three finishes at the Big Ten Invite in Sarasota, Fla., on Friday and Saturday.
Oklahoma's 2V8+ hit the water Friday morning against Iowa, Notre Dame and Minnesota, clinching a third-place finish. OU's 3V8+ finished second ahead of Minnesota and Iowa.
The 3V8+ squad added another second-place finish, topping No. 12 Ohio State and Wisconsin on Friday afternoon. The Sooners' 1V8+ crossed the line three seconds before Wisconsin, earning third.
OU's 2V4+ tallied a third-place finish in a close race on Saturday morning against Minnesota, Michigan State, Clemson and UCLA. The 2V8+ squad secured another third-place finish and the 3V8+ clinched second, beating Minnesota and Michigan State.
The 3V8+ boat placed second in all three sessions at the invitational.
