NORMAN – Sophomore
Addison Fatta was named the South Central Region Gymnast of the Year, while associate head coaches Lou Ball and Tom Haley and assistant coach Ashey Kerr were named the regional Assistant Coaches of the year, the Women's College Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced Wednesday.
Fatta has had an outstanding sophomore season, competing in the all-around in every meet at a 98% hit rate (59/60). She received WCGA First-Team Regular Season All-America honors on vault and in the all-around, as well as being an All-SEC vault selection.
As a sophomore, Fatta has registered a career-high 39.750 in the all-around this season and is one of just five athletes nationally to reach that mark in 2026. She earned at least a 39.500 in the all-around in 11 of 15 meets, including seven marks of 39.600 or higher and three of 39.700-plus. On two occasions, she earned a 9.90 or better on all four events and ten times earned at least three scores of at least 9.90.
Fatta leads the team with 18 event titles on the season, including nine in the all-around and three each on vault, beam and floor. Her nine event titles in the all-around lead the team and are tied for fourth-most in a single season in program history.
Currently ranked No. 4 nationally and No. 1 in the South Central Region in the all-around, she is the only gymnast in the region to earn a 39.700 or higher in the all-around this season. Fatta is also the top vaulter in the South Central Region, ranking No. 2 in the nation. She is one of just three athletes in the region to score a perfect 10 on vault this season, with one of the others being her teammate.
The coaching trio of Ball, Haley and Kerr led Oklahoma to a No. 1 national ranking for 11 consecutive weeks of the regular season, including top regional rankings on vault, bars, beam and floor.
The staff coached Oklahoma to its second straight SEC regular season championship and first outright, along with an undefeated regular season.
