LAHAINA, Hawai'i – No. 22 Oklahoma men's golf closed its fall schedule with a fourth-place finish at the Ka'anapali Classic in Lahaina, Hawai'i, on Tuesday.

The 54-hole event was condensed due to weather, with teams playing 18 holes Sunday, 27 Monday and the final nine Tuesday. Playing without Ryder Cowan, who is competing on the PGA Tour this week, the Sooners (4, -6) posted rounds of 292-283-271 at the par-71 Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course.

Sophomore transfer Cayse Morgan led Oklahoma with a third-place finish, firing three consecutive rounds in the 60s (69-69-66) to finish at 9-under par. Morgan finished just two shots behind co-medalists Grayson Wood (Georgia) and Hampton Roberts (Clemson).

Senior transfer Bradley Sawka earned his first top-10 finish as a Sooner, tying for 10th at 4-under par. The UConn transfer carded rounds of 74-67-68 to secure the eighth top-10 finish of his collegiate career.

Clark Van Gaalen delivered OU's lowest round of the tournament Tuesday, firing a 7-under 64 to climb 50 spots on the leaderboard and finish tied for 37th at 3-over par. His final-round surge helped Oklahoma post a 13-under 271, its lowest team round of the week.

Matthew Troutman (T59, +6) and Preston Albee (T106, +16) rounded out the Oklahoma lineup.

Three Sooners also competed unattached as individuals. PJ Maybank III led the trio, tying for 14th at 3-under par after closing with a 3-under 68. Lucas Gimenez (T37, +3) and Cameron Cheek (T47, +4) completed OU's individual contingent.

The fourth-place finish snapped Oklahoma's streak of four consecutive Ka'anapali Classic titles. No. 12 Georgia claimed the team championship at 23-under par, edging Clemson by one stroke. TCU finished third, 10 shots ahead of Oklahoma, while the Sooners held off No. 18 Kansas by two strokes to secure fourth.

Oklahoma returns to action Feb. 13-14 at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
