Rischer Finishes Second, Oklahoma Fourth at MountainView Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. – Oklahoma women's golf wrapped up the MountainView Collegiate with a steady final round, carding a 295 (+7) on Tuesday to secure a fourth-place finish. The Sooners' performance marked their third straight top-five result to start the spring.

OU (+21) tallied 39 birdies at the 54-hole tournament, the second most in the field.

Freshman Audrey Rischer (T2, -2) led the Sooners with a career-best runner-up finish. She began the day in second place and held her position, finishing alongside TCU's Camille Min-Gaultier. Medalist Carla Bernat (-11) of Kansas State, who won the event at 4-over par, was the only other player to finish under par.

Junior Gracie Mayo (T11, +5) secured her third top-20 finish of the season and the fifth of her career. She bounced back from a second-round 77 (+5) with a 74 (+2) in the final round to tie for 11th.

Junior Savannah Barber (T19, +7) also cracked the top 20, tying for 19th with a second consecutive 75 (+3). It marked her team-high 11th career top-20 finish.

Senior Reagan Chaney (T36, +11) and junior MaKayla Tyrrell (T63, +19) rounded out OU's lineup. Junior Raychel Nelke (T36, +11) competed unattached and tied with Chaney for 36th.

The Sooners return to action March 17-18 at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, hosted by the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin.
