Oklahoma Ties for Fifth at Betsy Rawls Invitational

March 18, 2025 | Women's Golf

AUSTIN, Texas – Oklahoma women's golf placed two golfers inside the top 20 and finished fifth at the Betsy Rawls Invitational on Tuesday.

Oklahoma (T5, +52) secured its fourth straight top-five finish, posting four consecutive top-fives for the first time since 2017-18. In Austin, the Sooners trailed only teams ranked inside the latest top 40 in the national rankings as the top-five standings remained unchanged from Monday's rounds.

Junior Savannah Barber (T11, +10) led the way for OU, finishing 11th, just one stroke outside the top 10. She posted her best round of the tournament with a 1-over 73 and was the only Sooner to climb the leaderboard in the final round.

Senior Reagan Chaney (T18, +14) fired four birdies in the final round to secure a tie for 18th. She bounced back from a second-round 9-over 81 – the highest round recorded by a Sooner in the tournament – with a 5-over 77 on Tuesday.

Junior Gracie Mayo (T32, +17) carded a 6-over 78 with four bogeys and a double bogey, finishing tied for 32nd.

Juniors MaKayla Tyrrell (T34, +18) and Isabelle Schlick (T34, +18), who competed unattached, each recorded one birdie in the final round and tied for 34th.

Freshman Audrey Rischer (T36, +19) tied for 36th in the 78-player field, posting rounds of 80-76-79.

Oklahoma concludes its regular season April 8-9 at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga.
