Sooner Tennis Announces 2026 Schedule

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head men's tennis coach Nick Crowell announced the 2026 spring schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
The Sooners will host 13 matches at the Headington Family Tennis Center and face 14 teams that appeared in last year's NCAA tournament.
Opening day is slated for Friday, Jan. 16, as the Sooners host Arizona before welcoming Abilene Christian to Norman on Jan. 18.
The Sooners will be put to the test early as ITA Kickoff Weekend is slated for Jan. 23-24. OU will travel to the West Coast to face host California, before playing either UCF or USC in the second match of the weekend.
A pair of wins in California will send the Sooners to the ITA National Indoor Championships in Texas, Feb. 13-17. Baylor and SMU will be the co-hosts for this year's championships.
The Sooners return to Oklahoma for an in-state battle at Tulsa on Feb. 4, before kicking off a seven-game homestand.
The homestand opens with a doubleheader on Feb. 6 against Wichita State and Oral Roberts. OU will host a second doubleheader on Feb. 8 when New Mexico and UT-Arlington make the trek to Norman.
Conference play begins with three straight home matches against South Carolina (Feb. 21), Ole Miss (Feb. 23) and Vanderbilt (Feb. 27).
After a month at home, OU heads to Knoxville, Tenn., to face Tennessee on March 1. Last season, the Sooners pulled off a top 20 upset against the Volunteers in Norman.
OU returns to Norman to face Kentucky on March 6 ahead of a weekend road swing at LSU (March 13) and Texas (March 15).
To close out the month of March, OU will host Auburn (March 20) and Alabama (March 22) before traveling to Georgia (March 27) and Florida (March 29).
The final home match of the season is set for Saturday, April 4, when Mississippi State comes to Norman.
The regular season concludes with a two-match road trip to Arkansas (April 10) and Texas A&M (April 12).
Postseason play begins with the SEC Tournament April 15-19 at Texas A&M. The NCAA Tournament begins May 1 with the first three rounds held on campus sites. The semifinals and finals will take place May 14-17 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.
The Sooners welcome back seven student-athletes from the 2024-25 roster in Bruno Nhavene Luis Alvarez, Hank Trondson, Asahi Harazaki, Orel Kimhi, Oscar Lacides and Alejandro Melero. Crowell's newest additions to the squad, Johan Rodriguez and Luka Talan Lopatic, will make their spring debuts for the Sooners.
All of the Sooners' home competitions will be open to the public with free admission.
