Isaiah Marable joined Oklahoma Athletics in July 2021 as the Graduate Assistant in Athletics Human Resources before transitioning into a full-time role as the Assistant Director of People and Culture in August 2022.
In this role, he recruits and onboards student workers, temporary workers, occasional workers, graduate assistants and full-time athletics staff. He tracks and files all employee personnel documents, manages delivery, tracking, compilation and maintenance of confidential and time sensitive materials such as new hire paperwork, office letters, performance evaluations, management plans and coaches’ contracts. He also assists with onboarding items such as coordinating ID/fingerprint appointments, parking permits and campus orientation for full-time employees.

Prior to that role, he served as a Human Resources Graduate Assistant for OU Athletics from July 2021 to August 2022. In that role, he assisted the director of Athletic Human Relations with background checks, onboarding student workers, temporary workers and graduate assistants and tracking and filing athletics employee files on Laserfiche. He also assisted with department wide mandatory trainings.

He earned his bachelors degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science from Sacramento Sctate, where he was a track and field student-athlete. Marable ran the 200, 400 and 800 meter dashes, and was the Big Sky Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee President and NCAA Division 1 SAAC representative.

He earned his Master of Arts in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from the University of Oklahoma. In 2021, he received the NCAA Accelerating Academic Success Program career development award for academic excellence and pursuit of a career in intercollegiate athletics.

Outside of work, Marable enjoys spending time with his cat, Humphrey, and is an avid disc golfer and foodie.
