Crimson & Cream Dual Preview - Lead

October 22, 2026 | Wrestling

NORMAN — The Oklahoma wrestling team will host the Crimson & Cream Dual at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, inside McCasland Field House.

Doors open at 4 p.m., and admission is free. The intrasquad scrimmage will feature 18 bouts and will be livestreamed on the Oklahoma Wrestling Facebook page.

The Sooners enter the season ranked No. 13 in the InterMat preseason dual meet poll and return three NCAA qualifiers: fifth-year senior Brian Soldano and seniors Conrad Hendriksen and Tyler Wells.

Head coach Roger Kish added 15 newcomers to the roster during the offseason, including former All-American Paddy Gallagher (Ohio State) and 2024 NCAA qualifier Isaiah Powe (Chattanooga). Oklahoma also added senior Jersey Robb (Oklahoma State), juniors Finn Shepard (Tarleton State) and Liam Daniels (Little Rock) and sophomore Ty Eise (Nebraska).

The transfers join a freshman class that features seven wrestlers ranked in MatScouts' Senior Big Board. Oklahoma's 2026 recruiting class has been ranked as high as No. 12.

Following Friday's intrasquad dual, the Sooners will open the regular season at home against Northeastern State at 2 p.m. Nov. 1.
