NORMAN – Oklahoma sophomore golfer Meg Tilma was named the SEC Golfer of the Week on Wednesday following her tournament victory at The Bruzzy last week.

The honor marks the second weekly accolade of Tilma's career. The Wichita, Kan., native earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors last season following her performance at the Schooner Fall Classic.

At The Bruzzy, Tilma led Oklahoma to its first season-opening tournament title in 20 years, carding rounds of 68-70-68 to finish at 10-under par and claim the first individual victory of her career. Her performance helped the Sooners post the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history at 33-under par.

Under head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell, Oklahoma has now produced 14 weekly honorees between the Big 12 and SEC, including six over the last three seasons.

Tilma joined the Sooners in 2025 following a decorated junior career in which she was ranked as the No. 35 player in the 2025 recruiting class. This summer, she qualified for and made the cut at the U.S. Women's Amateur and won the Kansas State Amateur Championship. As a freshman, Tilma played in seven events, posting a 75.17 scoring average, and represented Oklahoma at the NCAA Regional in Ann Arbor.

Tilma and the Sooners return to action this weekend at home, hosting the 14th annual Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman. Play begins Saturday morning and continues through Monday. Admission is free.
