Oklahoma Closes Fall Schedule at The Fin
October 18, 2026 | Women's Golf
NORMAN – With a nation-high three team titles on its resume already, Oklahoma women's golf will close the fall slate this week at The Fin at Freestone Lake & Golf Club in Fairfield, Texas.
The 54-hole tournament opens Monday morning and teams will play 18 holes daily until a champion is crowned on Wednesday afternoon.
The nine-team field is stacked with top teams, including the Sooners who rank second nationally in scoring average. Oklahoma's lineup remains unchanged after winning its last two events as Meg Tilma, Audrey Rischer, Anna Kate Nichols, Satonkan (Earn) Thiengsri and Nancy Cox will play for the Sooners, while Valentina Marie Guertin will compete unattached.
Led by 18th-year head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell, Oklahoma owns a 34-1-1 record this season, including a 8-1 mark against top-50 opponents. The Sooners enter the event with the second-best winning percentage in the country.
Monday's round is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. CT.
LAST TIME OUT
Led by individual medalist Satonkan (Earn) Thiengsri, No. 24 Oklahoma women's golf matched program history Tuesday, capturing the OU Intercollegiate presented by PDI at Wichita Country Club for its third tournament victory of the season.
The Sooners finished at 13-under at Wichita Country Club, overcoming a slow start with a tournament-low second round before holding off Missouri to win by two strokes. Oklahoma has now won three of its four tournaments to open the fall season, with a runner-up finish in its lone event without a victory as it boasts an SEC-best 37-1 record. The three tournament wins mark the best start to a season in program history and tie the 2012-13, 2011-12, 2007-08, 2003-04, 1985-86 and 1980-81 teams for the most wins in a single season in program history.
THE FIELD (9Teams)
Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, Houston, LSU, No. 22 Arkansas, No. 16 Texas A&M, No. 19 Mississippi State (host) and Oklahoma State.
