DALLAS – In its regular-season finale, Oklahoma women's golf placed sixth in a 16-team field at the Huntington Bank Collegiate on Tuesday at Trinity Forest Golf Club.

The Sooners finished the 54-hole event at 5-under 859, opening with rounds of 285 and 284 on Monday before closing with a 290 on Tuesday to secure a top-six finish.

"I'm proud of the way we competed this week," head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said. "We put ourselves in a strong position after the first two rounds and continued to battle in the final round. We're trending in the right direction heading into postseason play."

Senior Gracie Mayo led Oklahoma, placing 12th at 4-under 212 (68-70-74). Mayo paced the Sooners through the opening two rounds and stayed inside the top 15 on the final leaderboard.

Reagan Chaney tied for 17th at 1-under 215 (71-72-72), while true freshman Satongkan (Earn) Thiengsri finished tied for 26th at 1-over 217, rebounding from an opening-round 75 (+3) with back-to-back 71s to close.

Audrey Rischer and Savannah Barber each tied for 34th at 3-over 219. Rischer posted three rounds of 73, while Barber carded a 73-71-75.

Oklahoma was one of six teams to finish under par and placed ahead of two top-25 teams, including No. 13 UCF.

Oklahoma State won the team title at 25-under, followed by SMU (22-under) and No. 15 UCLA (18-under). OSU's Marta Silchenko and SMU's Mackenzie Lee shared medalist honors at 13-under.

The Sooners return to action April 17-21 at the SEC Championship at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. OU finished 14th at last year's conference championship before advancing through NCAA Regionals to the national championship.
