OU Falls in Rain-Shortened Bedlam Midweek

TULSA, Okla. — No. 14 Oklahoma fell 7-3 in eight innings Tuesday night to Oklahoma State in a weather-shortened matchup at ONEOK Field in Tulsa.

The Cowboys (23-14) got off to a fast start with two home runs in the first inning to go up 3-0. OU threaten in the home half of the second inning with a walk and double from Alec Blair, but couldn't push one across.

Oklahoma State doubled its lead in the fourth on another pair of home runs to make it 6-0 through four.

OU put two on in the bottom of the fifth but a double play and strikeout squashed the threat. The Pokes added one in the sixth on a wild pitch to make it 7-0.

In the bottom of the eighth, after a pair of walks, Jaxon Willits hit a three-run home run to bring the game to 7-3. The game was ended in the bottom of the eighth due to inclement weather in the area.
