Pfiffner Shines on Day Two of Conference Championships

February 27, 2026 | Track and Field

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams concluded day two of the SEC Indoor Championships Friday at the R.A. "Murray" Fasken '38 Indoor Track & Field Facility, highlighted by two school record-breaking performances.

The day opened in the women's weight throw, where Kennedy Clarke put the Sooners on the board with a fourth-place finish. Clarke launched a 21.69m (71'2.00") throw — just one centimeter shy of her personal best — to score five team points.

On the men's side, Brendon See delivered a record-breaking performance in the weight throw, registering a personal-best 21.92m (71'11.50") to set a new Oklahoma school record and place sixth.

In the women's high jump, junior Hannah Pfiffner cleared a personal-best 1.87m (6'1.50") to earn a silver-medal finish. The mark ties the program record set by Jane Clough in 1985, ending a 41-year span atop the OU record book. Freshman Brianna Rivers also added points in the event, clearing 1.76m (5'9.25") to tie for seventh.

Oklahoma returns to action Saturday at 2 p.m. CT with the men's high jump. Running events are scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m. CT with the women's mile final.

The Sooners will look to make a push in the team standings on the final day, as the women sit eighth with 18.5 points and the men are 10th with seven points.

Live results for the SEC Indoor Championships are available via Flash Results. The championships will be broadcast on SEC Network+ beginning at 2 p.m.
