NORMAN — Oklahoma track and field is set to close their regular season Friday, May 8, at the Arkansas Twilight hosted at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark.

Later in the evening, Adrian Stuphan is set to compete in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Hayden Gray and Kel McDavid will race in the men's and women's 800 meters, respectively. Mary Van Dyke is slated for the women's 1,500 meters, and Nebtom N'Da and Ashley Lister will compete in the women's long jump. Fans can follow the meet via Flash Results.

Last time out

The Sooners capped off their outdoor home slate last weekend at the Sooner Invitational, totaling 23 event victories.

Ralford Mullings highlighted the meet with a season-best 65.97m throw in the men's discus, improving his No. 2 mark in the NCAA and No. 1 mark in the SEC this season. Jacelyn Neighbors also delivered a strong performance in the women's pole vault, clearing 4.21m (13'9.75") to improve her No. 7 mark in OU history.

Oklahoma added victories across the board, including wins from Brendon See in the men's hammer throw, Hannah Pfiffner in the women's high jump and both the men's and women's 4x100-meter relay teams.

Sooners in the rankings

OU enters the weekend with several top-10 national marks. Ralford Mullings holds the No. 2 mark in the NCAA in the men's discus, while Tyson Ritz ranks No. 4 in the men's high jump. Kennedy Stringfellow sits No. 6 in the men's long jump, and Hannah Pfiffner is No. 10 in the women's high jump.

As a group, the men's high jump squad ranks No. 2 in the USTFCCCA Event Squad rankings, while the men's triple jump sits No. 3. The women's pole vault and women's triple jump groups are both ranked No. 4 nationally, while the women's long jump ranks No. 5.

Run it back

The Sooners are in their second season in the SEC, one of the premier conferences in collegiate track and field. In their inaugural season, Oklahoma captured eight individual conference titles and finished fourth on the women's side at the 2025 SEC Indoor Championship. At the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, the men earned a sixth-place finish, the program's best outdoor nationals result in 28 years.
