NORMAN – After a weather delay and suspension of play Monday evening, Oklahoma women's golf holds a 15-shot cushion above the cut line with players through 14–17 holes of the final round at the NCAA Norman Regional.
Play will resume Tuesday morning as the Sooners look to punch their ticket to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2018.
At the conclusion of the round, the top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, slated for May 16–21 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The top individual on a non-advancing team will also qualify.
Oklahoma (4th, E) is seeking its tenth NCAA appearance in program history. Senior
Reagan Chaney (T5, -4) has delivered a bogey-free final round to this point, with four holes remaining. She leads the team with 11 birdies on the week, tied for fifth-most in the field.
Junior
MaKayla Tyrrell (T11, E) surged 21 spots on the leaderboard behind a 3-under round, with one hole left to complete.
Junior
Savannah Barber (T28, +4) and freshman
Audrey Rischer (T31, +5) sit one shot apart, with Barber having three holes to play and Rischer two.
Junior
Gracie Mayo (T38, +7) rounds out the Sooners' lineup and has two holes remaining.
Stanford, Northwestern and Michigan State have already secured their spots in Carlsbad, completing their rounds before the suspension. Oklahoma (4th) and Baylor (5th) are in strong position but must wait until Tuesday's conclusion to officially punch their tickets.
The Sooners will resume play at 9 a.m. CT.
