April 16, 2025 | Women's Golf
NORMAN – Oklahoma women's golf freshman Audrey Rischer was named SEC Golfer of the Week on Wednesday after claiming the individual title at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic last week.
Rischer earned her first career win at the event, finishing as the only player even-par or better at the 54-hole tournament. She tallied nine birdies over three rounds, the second most in the field, and posted scores of 71-72-73 to win by one stroke and help deliver Oklahoma its fifth straight top-five finish.
In her debut season at OU, Rischer has played in every tournament and leads the team with four top-five finishes. Her win at the Liz Murphey comes just two week after finishing second at the MountainView Collegiate.
This marks Rischer's second SEC weekly honor of the season and Oklahoma's third overall. She first received the award on March 5, while senior Reagan Chaney was honored on Oct. 23.
Rischer will look to lead the Sooners back to the postseason as OU is set to host an NCAA Regional at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club from May 5-7.
