NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma track and field team is set to host the OU Winter Field Fest on Friday, Dec. 5 at the Mosier Indoor Facility in Norman, Okla.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. and will include a combination of field and sprint events.

The men's and women's distance squad has select athletes slated to compete at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday, Dec. 6 in Boston, Mass.
A total of five athletes will compete for OU, including Evans Biwott, Thobias Cheruiyot, Leah Jeruto, Shadrack Kiptoo and Ronald Ngetich. All five athletes will race a 5K Saturday evening, with hopes of achieving qualifying times.
Jeruto will open competition for the Sooners, racing in the second heat of the women's 5K at approximately 3:47 p.m. CT. The men will follow a few hours later, beginning with Biwott and Kiptoo in the first heat of the men's 5K at 6:15 p.m. CT. Ngetich will follow directly after in the second heat at 6:29 p.m. CT, and Cheruiyot will wrap things up for OU in the fourth heat at 7 p.m. CT.
