Sooners Play Key Game at Auburn

NORMAN — Oklahoma Soccer continues the back half of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) slate with a single game at Auburn Thursday, Oct. 16. The opening whistle is set for 6:30 p.m. from the Auburn Soccer Complex.

The Sooners enter with eight points in league play and in current standing to qualify for the SEC Tournament with three regular season matches remaining.

LAST TIME OUT
Caroline Duffy made three saves and Oklahoma held No. 4 Tennessee scoreless in a 0-0 draw against the Lady Vols Thursday, Oct. 9.

Auburn and Oklahoma are meeting for the first time in program history.

Goalkeeper Caroline Duffy is coming off consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honors … she hasn't permitted a goal in the run of play in each of the last three meetings, turning in 11 saves over the last three games and two shutouts.

FRESHMAN ACCOLADES
Freshman Ally Laccinole was named to Top Drawer Soccer's Top 100 Freshman List this past week, coming in at No. 40. Laccinole was named SEC Freshman of the Week after the first week of the season and recently scored the game-winning goal against Alabama Oct. 2.

Duffy was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, the first honor for OU
OU has scored 32 goals this season. The Sooners scored 38 all of last year, which was a program record.
