NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma women's cross country team continues its season on Friday at the Texas A&M Invitational hosted at the Watts Cross Country Course in College Station, Texas. OU will run a 5K at 8:45 a.m. and feature 11 runners.
"The ladies are eager to get back out on the course. We are adding additional athletes to the lineup, so this will be a great chance to continue testing our strength as a team and gauge what our strength and weaknesses are at this point in the season," stated head women's cross country coach, Anna Bearss. "It will be a fun trip. So far this fall, every day with the team has been a good one."
Graduate
Megan Johnson, who placed second in the 3K at the season-opening Cowboy Preview, will lead the Sooners. Senior
Gabi Barrera and junior
Erin O'Brien, finishing second and third best for OU at the preview, will also race. Three newcomers:
