NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma men's and women's cross country teams are set for the NCAA Midwest Regional hosted by Bradley University at the Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill., on Friday.
The OU women will run a 6K at 11 a.m. CT and the men will compete in the 10K at noon CT. Seven runners for both the men's and women's team will race Friday morning.
Per USTFCCCA's week five regional poll released on Nov. 4, the OU women enter the championship No. 5 in the Midwest region, the program's best-ever ranking. The men's team is positioned at No. 12 in the Midwest, their highest ranking since 2017.

Leah Jeruto earned ninth in the women's 6K and
Thobias Cheruiyot placed 10th in the men's 8K, both earning Second Team All-SEC honors and named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. The women's team finished 12th and the men's ninth.
The OU men's and women's squads race for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Madison, Wis., on Nov. 23. The top-two teams at the regional automatically qualify, while four independent runners from each region will receive a bid from the NCAA at the conclusion of the weekend.
