April 21, 2016 | Men's Golf
NORMAN – Oklahoma men's golf freshman Brad Dalke will compete in his first PGA Tour event this weekend at the Valero Texas Open. The tournament will take place at the par-72, 7,522-yard TPC San Antonio AT&T Course in San Antonio, Texas.
“We are excited for Brad and this opportunity he has down in San Antonio,” OU head coach Ryan Hybl said. “I want him to enjoy the proceedings and soak it all in when he can. He has the game to compete this week and we are rooting for him.”
The event will feature four rounds of golf from April 21-24 (Thursday-Sunday). Dalke, who earned a spot in the event after winning the 2015 Junior PGA Championship, will tee off the first round Thursday at 2:20 p.m. from hole No. 10 alongside Tom Hoge and David Mathis.
Dalke has competed in all 10 team events this season with the Sooners. His best finish came in November when he took second place individually at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, carding a 206 (-7) and recording two rounds in the 60s.
