NORMAN — No. 21/18 Oklahoma (9-1-2, 3-1-0 SEC) outshot No. 7/12 Alabama (11-1-0, 4-0-0 SEC), but the Crimson Tide scored key goals at the end of the first half and at the start of the second as the Sooners had their 11-match unbeaten streak snapped in a 3-1 loss Sunday, Sept. 27.

Callie Sullivan was massive early, making three difficult saves to keep things knotted at 0-0 through 40 minutes. OU's best opportunities in the opening half came towards the end of the session. Kayla Keefer headed a shot towards goal that was deflected and gathered by keeper Madi Munguia. Kennedy Kaiser put together a good run and shot just wide of the net in the 35th minute.

Alabama finally broke open the scoring with a goal off a loose ball in the box after a corner kick in the 45th minute. Presley Williams gathered the ball on the far side of the box and scored. Initially it was ruled offside, but after the review it was ruled a goal.

First-time goal scorers struck again as Zamorah Malinoski wove through the defense and slotted a goal home from the top of the box. That lead widened to 3-0 as Alabama's leading scorer, Larkin Thomason, slotted home a cross.

Narissa Fults got OU on the board, scoring in the 87th minute after a cross was played into the box by Emily Davey.

The Sooners outshot Alabama, 8-4, in the second half despite being outscored, 2-1, in that half.
