OU Falls in Game Two of Series to Florida

May 02, 2026 | Baseball

NORMAN — No. 15 Oklahoma dropped the second game of the series to No. 25 Florida on Saturday by a final of 10-5.

With the win, the Gators (30-17, 12-11) forced the series decider Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT.

Oklahoma (30-15, 12-11) jumped on top early with a two-run bottom of the first. After a pair of singles from Camden Johnson and Trey Gambill, Jaxon Willits drove them home on a two-run double to left center.

The Gators would respond with six runs across the next three innings to push the lead to 6-2 before OU answered with a two-run single from Johnson in the home half of the fourth.

Florida added four runs across the eighth and ninth while Deiten Lachance hit a solo shot in the bottom of the ninth for the Sooners to bring the final to 10-5.

OU left 10 runners on base on the night, including stranding the bases loaded in the fifth and eighth.

OU starting left-handed pitcher Cameron Johnson went just one inning, exiting at the top of the second due to soreness after a scoreless first inning with two strikeouts.

Sooner relief pitching was highlighted by freshman Nick Wesloski, going 3.1 innings and surrendering one run on one hit with no walks and three strikeouts. The frosh retired 10 of his 11 batters faced before surrendering a solo shot to his final batter.
