NORMAN — The Oklahoma men's basketball program has added Tae Davis to its official roster ahead of the 2026-27 season, school officials announced Monday afternoon. A starter and double-figure scorer for the Sooners a year ago, Davis has been enrolled at Oklahoma and taking classes since the start of the fall semester and is pursuing a fifth year of eligibility.
Davis averaged 13.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for the Sooners a year ago. The Indianapolis, Ind., native scored in double figures in 28 games and recorded five double-digit rebounding performances in his first season in Norman.
A 6-9, 215-pound forward, Davis has made an impact on both ends of the floor throughout his career. He enters the 2026-27 season with 1,365 points, 636 rebounds, 198 assists and 83 steals over 134 career games (103 starts). He began his career at Seton Hall (2022-23), played two seasons at Notre Dame (2023-24 and 2024-25) and joined the Sooners last season.
OU opens the season Monday, Nov. 2 at Lloyd Noble Center against East Texas A&M. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
