Moser Announces Two Additions to Basketball Staff

NORMAN — Head coach Porter Moser has rounded out the Oklahoma Men's Basketball staff with the additions of Mike Greenman and Sam Godwin. Greenman joins the staff as an assistant coach / director of player development, while Godwin has been named assistant director of basketball operations.
Greenman comes to Norman with a coaching résumé that includes stops with the Chicago Bulls, Windy City Bulls, Indiana Fever and Northwestern men's basketball program.
Most recently, Greenman served as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator for the Windy City Bulls, the Chicago Bulls' NBA G League affiliate. During the 2025-26 season, he helped guide an up-tempo offensive system that ranked among the G League's top five in transition points, rim attempts and free throw rate.
Greenman was instrumental in designing and implementing Windy City's early offense, emphasizing playing with pace, attacking the rim and making the next right play. His responsibilities also included developing game plans from analytics, preparing scouting reports, managing in-game rotations and leading on-court practice drills focused on decision-making and quick reactions.
Prior to his time with the Windy City Bulls, Greenman served as a video coordinator with the Chicago Bulls during the 2023-24 season and as an advanced scout with the Indiana Fever of the WNBA in 2023. He also worked in video and basketball operations with Windy City from 2021-23 and served as a lead assistant with WME/BDA Pre-Draft in 2022.
Greenman began his coaching career as a graduate assistant with Northwestern men's basketball from 2018-20. During his time in Evanston, he assisted with the development of several players who went on to professional basketball careers, including Pete Nance, Boo Buie, Miller Kopp and Chase Audige.
A five-year letterwinner at Williams College, Greenman was a three-time captain, and a five-year starter for the Ephs. During his time at Williams, the Ephs made three NCAA Tournament appearances, twice reached the Final Four and played in the 2014 National Championship game. Williams went 89-30 overall and 10-3 in the NCAA Tournament during Greenman's time.
He finished his career ranked in the top 10 in assists in school history and led the team in assists in three seasons. Greenman also holds the school record for most games played in a season.
At Oklahoma, Greenman will focus on individual player development, helping the Sooners maximize their growth on the court and prepare for the demands of collegiate and professional basketball.
Godwin returns to OU, where he earned a degree in business management and was a three-year letterwinner for the Sooners (2023-25). He spent last season playing with NH Ostrava where he averaged 8.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in the Národní Basketbalová Liga (NBL) in the Czech Republic.
Godwin brings firsthand knowledge of the program, its culture and the expectations associated with playing basketball at Oklahoma. In his new role, he will assist with the day-to-day operations of the program, including team logistics, recruiting coordination, player support and other administrative responsibilities.
In three seasons in Norman, Godwin averaged 6.0 points and 4.5 rebounds while appearing in 93 games, including 61 starts, for the Sooners. He shot 61.2% from the field, while helping OU to a pair of 20-win seasons and an appearance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament..
