NORMAN — Junior forward
Naomi Clark was tabbed to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week as announced by the publication Tuesday, Aug. 19. Clark started her season and OU career with consecutive braces, helping the Sooners to 4-1 wins against Creighton and No. 22 Oklahoma State.
Clark is second in the country in goals (4) and fourth in the nation in points (8), while also providing the game-winning score in the victory against OSU.
The Parker, Colo., native started the season by becoming the first Sooner to tally a brace in their OU debut since Jonette Coquat did so Sept. 1, 1998 against Tulsa.
The forward's play helped OU knock off a ranked opponent for the first time since 2022, while also giving the Sooners their first regular season victory against Oklahoma State since the 2018 campaign.
Clark was one of two Southeastern Conference (SEC) players to be picked to the team, joining Tennessee's Shae O'Rourke.
The Sooners picked up a spot in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25 this past week, coming in at No. 25 as announced Monday.
OU stays at home to host East Texas A&M Thursday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. The match will be streamed on SECN+.
