Kayla Keefer scored for the third consecutive match and the Oklahoma (6-0) backline turned in its second shutout of the week as the No. 20 Sooners defeated North Texas (3-3), 1-0, Sunday, Aug. 31.
OU is 6-0 for the first time since 2002 and for just the second time in program history.
North Texas entered the match averaging over 25 shots per game, while OU held the Mean Green to just four on the night.
OU 1, NORTH TEXAS 0

Caroline Duffy.
The Sooners went up 1-0 in the 17th minute after

Naomi Clark near the top of the box. After a few dribbles, Clark tapped the ball to Keefer before she scored for the lead.
OU paced the shot tally, 7-2, after 45 minutes and 6-2 in the second half, but both backlines stood tall as the 1-0 score remained.
Juliette Rayo had OU's best opportunity in the second half, rocketing a shot through a crowded box before it was saved by UNT goalkeeper Alina Arneth.
Senior defender
Cassie Clifton made a key slide tackle to stop UNT's Summer Brown in a one-versus-one opportunity in the 67th minute, helping OU stay in front.
