LAST TIME OUT

Oklahoma returns to their home courts after two road matches at Ole Miss and Alabama. In the clash with the Rebels, the Sooners came out on top after being tied 3-all when junior Luis Alvarez clinched the match in a tiebreak, 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-6(4) at the three line.

The competition against the Crimson Tide saw a similar conclusion, where the Sooners were ahead for a portion of the match before Alabama evened the score at 3-all. Alvarez once again sealed the victory for Oklahoma, winning 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-2.

IN THE RANKINGS

In the most recent ITA team rankings, Oklahoma checked in at the No. 22 spot. Freshman Oscar Lacides once again earned a singles ranking nod, improving to the No. 72 place. Alvarez made another appearance in the singles rankings, earning the No. 87 spot.

In doubles, Lacides and teammate Bruno Nhavene moved up to the No. 25 spot after previously being ranked No. 46.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Freshman Orel Kimhi played an integral role in the road wins for the Sooners at Ole Miss and Alabama. Against the Rebels, Kimhi claimed a singles win to tie the match, providing Alvarez the opportunity to clinch the match soon after.

Kimhi provided the third point for the Sooners against the Crimson Tide following a straight-set win to once again set Alvarez up for sealing the win for Oklahoma.
