LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Present and future Oklahoma gymnasts competed on the first day of USA Gymnastics Winter Cup on Friday evening at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
Junior
Ignacio Yockers notched the second highest pommel horse score of the evening with his 14.050. Redshirt junior
Fuzzy Benas sits in sixth on floor exercise with his 13.600 and seventh on vault with his 13.900. Junior
Kelton Christiansen is in fourth on high bar with his 13.250 score. Senior
Brigham Frentheway scored 13.000 on floor exercise to place 15th.
Yockers, Benas and Christiansen advanced to the second day of competition on Sunday. The all-around and event finals will be held on Sunday beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT. A live stream will be available on the

"We're happy that Fuzzy, Ignacio and Kelton are moving on to Sunday and that Fuzzy is doing another event this weekend," Oklahoma head coach Mark Williams said. "Overall, pleased with the results and looking forward to Sunday to have them finish up well."
OU signees Sasha Bogonosiuk and Nathan Roman will also return to competition on Sunday. Bogonosiuk sits eighth in the all-around after recording a 77.050 while Roman is 15th with his 74.300. Other members of OU's 2025 signing class will compete in the Elite Team Cup at noon CT on Saturday: Jackson Rendon, Alex Noel and Max Morelos.
The 2025 Winter Cup is a qualifying event to the 2025 U.S. Gymnastics Championships. The Winter Cup will also culminate in the selection of the Men's Senior National Team to be named following the competition.
