Aaron Mansfield announced the addition of two transfer athletes for the 2025 season. Dionii Fraga and Kenadie Patterson have joined the Sooners for the 2025 spring semester.

Dionii Fraga joins the Sooners from Fresno State University and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. As a freshman, she earned the starting libero spot appearing in all 33 matches and 131 sets for the Bulldogs. She set the program record for digs from a freshman with 544 and an average of 4.15 digs per set. She added 104 assists to go with 28 service aces and was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year. She claimed All-Mountain West First-Team honors and was named the AVCA Pacific South Freshman of the Year. As a sophomore, she was named to the All-Mountain West Team after tallying 255 digs, 64 assists and 16 service aces.
"Dionii is an explosive athlete with great ball control and can cover a ton of court defensively," Mansfield said. "She was the best libero in the Mountain West conference her freshmen and sophomore year and she will improve the level in our gym immediately. She has high aspirations beyond college in this sport and we are excited to help her reach her full potential."
Prior to Fresno State, Fraga attended Sanger High School where she was a two-time CMAC Central Section Champion and lettered all four years as a starter.
"I chose OU because of the university's prestigious atmosphere, the level of competition, and culture of the volleyball program," Fraga said.
A native of Dinuba, Calif., Fraga is the daughter of Brandi and Victor Fraga and has two siblings: Edices and Ilias.
KENADIE PATTERSON | MIDDLE BLOCKER |OAKDALE, CALIF. | PEPPERDINE
Kenadie Patterson joins the Sooners from Pepperdine University and will have one season of eligibility remaining. In her three seasons at Pepperdine, she appeared in 172 sets over 60 matches, amassing 118.0 total blocks and 198 kills. As a junior in 2024, she tallied 138 kills and 82.0 blocks. She was named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2022 and 2023, was a WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2023 and a Pepperdine Scholar Athlete in 2022 and 2023.
"Kenadie will bring a depth of experience in the middle blocker position," Mansfield said. "Helping her team compete in two NCAA tournament appearances and a conference championship in the WCC, she has proven that she can play at a very high level. Even though she has had 3 successful years, Kenadie has so much untapped potential that we are fired up to tap in to."
Prior to Pepperdine, Patterson attended Gregori High School and Oakdale High School where she lettered for three years as a middle blocker in the CCALI. As a senior, she earned team MVP and CCAL All-league first team honors after tabbing an impressive .545 hitting percentage and 103 total blocks.
"I came to OU, first and foremost, because of the world-class athletics and academics here," Patterson said. "When I initially met with the coaching staff, I felt an immediate connection, and everyone wanted to embrace me with open arms. I knew pretty quickly that I had found my new home."
A native of Oakdale, Calif., she is the daughter of Michelle and Justin Patterson and has two siblings: Dakota and Brody… Her grandfather Daryl was a MLB pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland A's and Pittsburgh Pirates, winning the World Series in 1968 with the Tigers … Her uncle Casey pitched for the New York Mets, her father pitched at College of the Sequoias and her aunt Kelly played volleyball at Fresno State.
