Eleven Sooners Receive CRCA Academic Honors

NORMAN - Eleven Oklahoma rowers received the 2024 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete Award, as announced by the organization on Thursday.Ā
Katelyn Brown (chemical biosciences), Allison Duff (communication), Aubrey Gleichman (finance), Allix Huggan (Master of Arts in global affairs), Emma Lazenby (Master of public health), Tyler Anne Leatherman (journalism), Andjela Nisevic (Master of Science in exercise physiology), Riley O'Neill (history), Sadie Pilz (Master of Science in supply chain management), Lillian Rector (visual communication) and Ava Woolery (biomedical engineering) received the honor for their achievements in the classroom.Ā
O'Neill and Pilz earned their fifth academic accolade, and Nisevic and Lazenby received their second straight honor.Ā
Oklahoma and Alabama tied for the second-most honorees of any Big 12 program. Across all three NCAA divisions, CRCA recognized 950 student-athletes.Ā
Student-athletes must be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility, rowed in 75% of spring races and hold a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher to be eligible for the award. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
