Sooner Success in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma's rowing team secured 6 wins and 11 other top-three finishes Saturday at the Head of the Oklahoma regatta.
OU started the morning off strong, sweeping the podium in both the single and pair head races. The afternoon leg of races produced similar outcomes, all eight of the Sooner four's finished in the top-ten, including another podium sweep. The Sooner eight also secured first, and all four boats claimed top-five finishes.
Oklahoma defended their title, claiming the Ackerman cup for the second year in a row. During the OG&E NightSprints, the fours took first and second, besting four other boats. OU's eights collected two top-three finishes, including a winning time of 01:35.657.
OU travels north to Princeton, N.J., for their final race of the fall season at the Princeton Chase on Nov. 4.
The Sooners will compete in their second and final race of the fall season November 3 at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J.
