Vince Carter, a Waco, Texas native, was a dominant force on the offensive line for The University of Oklahoma from 2001 to 2004 where he served as a four-year starter at center. Carter’s leadership and consistency in the trenches earned him All-American honors twice during his collegiate career.
Recruited under head coach Bob Stoops, Carter played a pivotal role in multiple Big 12 championship runs and helped anchor an offensive line that powered the Sooners to national prominence. He started in two national championship games and was a key contributor to one of the most explosive offenses in college football during his tenure.
Off the field, Carter has remained committed to making a difference in the lives of others. He has been actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), using his platform to mentor and inspire young athletes through faith and leadership. After his playing career, he launched his own trucking company and a personal fitness business, demonstrating the same drive and discipline that defined his time on the field.
Carter is a proud husband to his wife, Shannon, and together they have four children—daughter Olivia and sons Kai, Knox and Caleb. Having played before the introduction of SOUL Mission, Carter brings a unique perspective and deep appreciation for its purpose. He is passionate about equipping student-athletes with the tools, mindset and support they need to thrive both on and off the field.
