    Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning
Dante Vasquez serves as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Oklahoma Football. In this role, he assists with the design and implementation of strength, power, speed and conditioning programs for football student-athletes. Vasquez also supports athlete readiness monitoring using sport science tools and helps lead warm-ups, mobility work and recovery protocols to support player performance and reduce injury risk.

Prior to joining Oklahoma, Vasquez worked with the University of Minnesota football program as an intern strength and conditioning coach. During his time there, he assisted with player development tracking, helped administer performance monitoring systems and supported team conditioning sessions and speed development drills.

Vasquez also gained experience with the Buffalo Bills as a training camp and preseason intern, assisting with warm-ups and monitoring athlete performance data through force plate testing and other training technologies.

Earlier in his career, Vasquez served as a strength and conditioning intern at American International College, where he helped coach training sessions for multiple athletic programs and assisted with off-season training plans.

Vasquez earned his bachelor’s degree in integrative studies with a focus in exercise science from Springfield College, where he was a two-year captain and starting halfback for the football team. He was also a member of the program’s Brotherhood Council and was recognized for leadership and service.

Vasquez is a sponsored Dexcom athlete and advocate for athletes with Type 1 diabetes. He regularly speaks about his experience to support and empower other athletes managing the condition.

Outside of work, Vasquez enjoys training, mentoring younger athletes and continuing to develop within the strength and conditioning profession.
