Coaching Notes and Accomplishments

Joined the Oklahoma staff as senior offensive analyst prior to the 2025 season and was promoted to quarterbacks coach in the spring of 2026.

Spent two seasons at Washington State, serving in an offensive quality control role in 2023 and as quarterbacks coach in 2024.

As Washington State QBs coach in 2024, guided quarterback John Mateer as he passed for 3,139 yards and 29 touchdowns on 224 of 347 completions (65%) and rushed for 1,057 yards and 15 touchdowns on 178 rushes. The Cougars ranked sixth nationally in scoring offense (36.6 points per game), sixth in passing efficiency (164.3), 16th in passing offense (276.1 yards per game), 17th in completion percentage (65.9) and passing yards per completion (13.7).

Spent the 2022 season at Western Kentucky as director of player personnel. The Hilltoppers posted a 9-5 record, defeated South Alabama in the New Orleans Bowl and finished seventh nationally in total offense and second in passing offense.

Served as the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach at Eastern Illinois for three seasons from 2019-21. Coached three All-OVC Newcomers, two All-Conference honorees and one Freshman All-American.

Spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Cornell, coaching running backs and tight ends (2016) and offensive line (2017-18). Helped guide first-team All-Ivy League selection Chris Walker as he led the Ivy League in yards per carry and posted three 100-yard games. In his first year as offensive line coach in 2017, Kuceyeski led a rejuvenated offensive line that helped increase the team's rushing average by 25.0 yards per game over the previous season.

Served as director of scouting at Iowa State in 2016 after working in football operations and high school relations at Toledo (2013-15), all under head coach Matt Campbell. Toledo was 25-11 with a pair of MAC West division titles and two bowl appearances in Kuceyeski’s three seasons with the program.

Spent his first season at Toledo as director of football operations and as a defensive assistant, then moved into the role of director of high school operations in his last two years there. Along with creating and maintaining the program’s recruiting database, he was in charge of charting opponent defensive and in-game special teams schemes. He directed all summer camps and created the opponent personnel advanced scout in 2015. Had a brief stint as the director of player personnel and on-campus recruiting coordinator at Western Michigan before joining the Rockets in 2013.

Served as the offensive and special teams quality control intern at Northwestern during the 2010 season and moved to the director of offensive quality control in 2011. Became the offensive graduate assistant for the Wildcats in March of 2012, working with the wide receivers in the spring before moving back to the offensive line for fall camp. Also worked with all four phases of special teams during the 2012 season. He helped the Wildcats to a 10-win season in 2012, culminating in the program's first bowl win since 1949. He assisted in all phases of the program at Northwestern, including scouting, self-scouting, video breakdown, strength and conditioning, and recruiting.

Began his career as a student manager and undergraduate assistant coach at Penn State (2006-09), helping with the defensive linemen. During that period, five Penn State defensive linemen were first round NFL Draft picks, and the Nittany Lions won the 2008 Big Ten championship.
