NORMAN ā University of Oklahoma wide receiver Isaiah Sategna III was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week after he totaled a career-high 215 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in OU's 51-0 season-opening win UTEP on Friday, the conference office announced Monday.
Ā
A fifth-year senior from Austin, Texas, Sategna scored touchdowns on an 88-yard punt return and a 34-yard reception and registered 115 yards on two punt returns (a 57.5 average) Friday. He also tallied 76 yards on four receptions and 24 yards on the opening kickoff return. His punt return touchdown was OU's second score of the game, and his touchdown reception gave the Sooners a 34-0 lead in the third quarter. His other receptions went for 6, 25 and 11 yards and his kickoff return set up a 12-play, 76-yard touchdown drive.

Sategna's 88-yard punt return was the seventh-longest in OU history and first punt return touchdown in three years. It was also OU's longest punt return since 2013 and its second-longest in a season opener. His punt return yardage was the 12th most in school history and the most in 15 years. Sategna led the SEC in all-purpose yards, punt return yards and all-purpose yards per play (30.7) this week.
